GOLDENLAY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2005 AND HAS MADE A NUMBER OF ADVANCES IN BIO-SECURITY, PRODUCTION AND CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES OVER THIS PERIOD TO BECOME ZAMBIA’S AND THE REGION’S PREFERRED SUPPLIER OF FRESH QUALITY TABLE EGGS.
To remain the Zambian market leader in table egg production, while maintaining ‘world best practice’ through uncompromised bio-security and quality, with the utilisation of locally produced raw materials for sustainable national food security and economic development.
Here at Goldenlay, we have adopted international corporate governance guidelines around the framework created by the World Bank and have recently obtained funding for an in-house HIV/AIDS programme for staff and the local community. Robust corporate governance with due regard for our corporate social responsibilities is a key focus in the company.
Among our outreach programmes, we support a number of local entities through donations, provision of school lunches and HIV nutritional feeding programmes and are currently working towards the implementation of a community health post clinic. We are fully committed to sustainable poultry production following ‘world best practice’ within this vibrant sector of the Zambian economy; and we are proud to be seen as a trailblazer for other developing businesses within the African community.
